Ok so we were lucky enough to receive even MORE snow. Thank goodness because I was starting to be able to see the street again, and i hate when that happens. We had Blizzard like conditions on Wednesday. Most people stayed home, MOST being the important word there. I. However. Did/ Could not. so off to work i came. I didn't have any trouble, my little Vue sure can roll through the snow piles. Once i got to work ( an hour late because i had to dig out) they told me we would be closing at NOON and could i have everything wrapped up by 1 p.m. Sure why not. I'll give it a go. At 10 am we lost power. which delayed finishing the paper. Apparently we can't leave without having everything done so Myself, and 4 other women from my department stuck it out till 5:15 p.m. when the lights FINALLY came back on.
I have to say there really isn't much to do at work, in the dark, with no power. I voted for getting drunk, but that didn't go over well. When the lights finally came back on i finished up the obits and left at 8 p.m. to head to my parents house, where i was camping out. I couldn't get to my apartment because they hadn't done anything to the roads in the borough. Needless to say I'm pretty much over the white fluffy stuff now. Although it seems to be coming for yet another visit this week. GREAT. I'll tell you this, after about an hour all the emergency lights go out, and the heat is off and it starts to get a bit frigged in this place. And I thought Hell was hot? interesting.
