Text message confession

I chose the 'share a text message conversation with us' prompt

Me-I broke the shower :(

Hubby- how?

Me- I tried to move the suction cup for the hand held sprayer, and now it won't suction  tight again.......this could be because the wall is wet also.

Hubby- did you lift the lever on the bottom? You have to do that to move it

Me-  ahh...no.

Hubby- then you place it where you want it and push the lever down.

Me- I just YANKED.
NOW I KNOW.

Hubby- why would you do that? You'll break the wall and the suction cup doing that.

Me-I don't know you didn't explain this to me.

Hubby- you didn't ask, PLUS I put it in a good spot. It's ok you are cute so you don't need to know how to make Shower suction cup holder work! :)

Me- it was to high for me, sorry, but I didn't break the wall with my hulk strength.

Hubby- AMY SMASH!

Crafty McCrafter

So my BFF is getting married in under 100 days. WE ARE SO EXCITED.

She helped make the center pieces for my wedding
And I LOVED them. EVERYONE loved them.

She also made all the decorations for my shower.

So I think we all know what that means.... YUP MY TURN.

I love doing creative stuff. My talents are completely wasted working at the dead desk because I can throw one HELL Of a party!

So I found some ideas on Pinterest that I like... No LOVE. One is tissue paper tassels. And I've been a busy beaver this weekend. I've been sick so this was easy to do in my Jammie's in front of the tv.

Now I'll string them on something nice when we hang them. I'm very happy with how they turned out and they were CRAZY easy!!!

Father's Day

Since my step-son is only 10 and only with us every other weekend it falls to us to plan something for Father's Day.

Last year I planned an all day adventure. We went to Harrisburg to see a 3D wildlife movie at the IMAX. Then we walked over to city island where we caught a ride on the paddle boat for a Pirate Cruise. We had a BLAST. A BLAST! A WET RIVER SOAKED BLAST.

So this year we opted for a trip to Maryland to Medieval Times. Fathers got in FREE. Sounds good to me!

Clearly into the show.
It was AWESOME.
If you've never been, GO. If you've been, GO AGAIN. We had so much fun! The food was great. The show was great. The company was great. It was AWESOME.

And since we were there we stopped at the Lego Store

And we all got new Lego sets and plenty of reminders from the day.

Sad sad summer

I LOVE swimming.

I LOVE water.

I LOVE laying in the sun next to the pool.

BUT

NOT SO MUCH THIS SUMMER.

Fingers crossed the new pool goes up tomorrow at Casa de Macneal.

If it doesn't rain. Fingers crossed.

Dirty sand swimming isn't as refreshing as it sounds.

June

Normally June looks like sunshine and pool time in our neck of the woods.

But not this June, with my brother getting married and us moving we were pretty late to get my moms pool open this year........and when they opened it two weeks ago we made a shocking discovery...one of the walls had buckled and there was a huge hole in the metal. Granted the pool is almost 16 years old.

So until the new pool gets installed there will be no pool time pictures. But that's ok because almost all my days off in June have looked like this.
RAIN RAIN RAIN. Puts a real damper on things.
My little rain gauge is getting pretty full just from the storm we had over night.

So that's what it looks here in sunny....I mean rainy York, Pa.

Tired

Lots of work around the house....but you wouldn't be able to tell.

I shampooed the carpet in the living room......that was different. I clean it but I also ruined some spots. Good times.

The whole getting the house together is overwhelming.

Cha cha change!

It was HOT here this weekend. And we unfortunately found out my moms pool has a hole in the side.......bummer. Taking a dip at Club Macneal would have been GREAT this weekend.

We were able to do a little more unpacking this weekend before I quickly lost interest.

I managed to put the kitchen stuff where it goes and all the laundry finally got put away.

We picked up some new shower curtains...exciting right.

And had a fight at Home Depot over new door knobs.

Now, personally I don't care what the door knobs look like as long it lets me in my house. Round knobs, lever knobs, silver, black, gold, WHATEVER. it's a door knob this shouldn't take anymore then 4 minutes to pick it. right? NO. The mister takes it pretty seriously. After repeatedly saying 'I don't care' I realized he wasn't picking it himself so I said 'yeah this one looks good'. I JUST WANTED TO LEAVE.

Well of course the random one I picked to get us out of there only had 2sets that matched key wise. And we needed 3. GREAT. However, we found a set of 3 other ones, I say ok they work let's go. NO.NO.NO. the mister decides that I somehow will not be happy with those because they aren't the original one I picked out. I try to explain that I don't care they are fine I like them, but no. Next thing I know he's talking to a worker at Home Depot and this clown is like 'Ahh we don't have anymore of the one you like but the guy who rekeys them will be back from lunch In awhile and he can make you a 3rd one.' No. I want to leave.  I try to say no that's not necessary we can take the three other ones that match. And the mister keeps saying BUT THOSE AREN'T THE ONES YOU PICKED OUT. next thing I know I'm yelling'I DON'T CARE I'LL BE UP FRONT THIS IS RIDICULES'.  Just another fun day at Home Depot.

Needless to say he bought the three that matched and we left.

Good times.

Where to start

I sit and look around our house and wonder what should I do first.....

Paint these white walls?

Buy curtains and blinds?

Contact someone about knocking down this wall?

If the back steps?

Buy pavers for the grill to sit on so it doesn't have to sit right on the patio?

 Paint the front door?

Finish unpacking........

I just don't know what to do first.
